Phrase To Guess (PTG) is a skill-based word guessing game built natively on Base. Every day you get a handful of puzzles across different knowledge categories - guess the hidden phrase, mint an on-chain trophy, climb the global leaderboard and earn rewards for inviting friends.

PTG has one on-chain backend: Base. Every transaction is always on Base. This section only explains the entry channel split - Base App, Farcaster, or Web - and how referral links are tagged.
Open PTG directly inside the Base App with native wallet context and smooth signing flow. This is the most direct path for users already in the Base ecosystem, including invite sharing with via=base.
Open PTG as a Farcaster Mini App, where identity and discovery come from the Farcaster social graph. Invites shared from this channel carry via=farcaster, while gameplay and transaction settlement remain on Base.
Open phrasetoguess.xyz in any browser and connect any EVM wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet. This channel is ideal for open links, X posts, Discord communities, and direct onboarding with via=web.
You see an image and a partially revealed phrase. Tap letters on the keyboard to uncover the word. Green means the letter exists, red means it doesn't - watch your misses, you have a limited number of strikes.

How hints work: During an active round, tap the lightbulb. Your wallet submits one transaction to the PTG Hint contract on Base. The contract charges a flat $0.01. In return the game reveals one random letter that belongs in the answer and is still hidden. Letters you already guessed on the keyboard do not count, so you never pay for information you already had. Network gas is extra.
Solve the puzzle before you run out of attempts to qualify for a trophy mint and score a point on the leaderboard.
Tailor the game to your strengths. Pick at least 4 categories from the pool and PTG will only serve puzzles from that set - your daily runs, your way.
Available categories include Animals, Crypto, Onchain, Economics, Finance, DeFi, Science, Sports, Games, Pokemon, Movies, Stars and more. The selection is saved locally so each of your 3 daily games is drawn from your custom pool.
Solved puzzles let you claim a verifiable daily trophy NFT on Base. Milestone badges (10 / 100 / 1000) unlock when your lifetime score - the same points that power the leaderboard - crosses each threshold.

Every correct guess earns you a point in the current season. The global leaderboard ranks all players worldwide and resets on each season rollover - giving everyone a fair shot at the top.
PTG is designed to reward the people who grow the community. When friends you invite pay fees (hints, mints, tools), a slice of that fee flows back to you - for life. The further down your tree, the smaller the slice; the bigger your tree, the bigger the cashflow.
Every player starts here. Earn 25% of fees from anyone you invite directly and 5% from everyone they invite (and so on).
Invitation-only - the PTG team upgrades selected accounts; it is not a paid upgrade. Double the standard rates at every level of your referral tree.
How you can earn Elite: There is no button to flip on yourself. We periodically invite players onto Elite when their community footprint clearly helps the game grow the right way - for example staying active and constructive in Discord or on Farcaster, helping newcomers, sharing fair tips, and answering questions, publishing quality content that brings real players and not bot farms, or being among the earliest, most consistent supporters who showed up when PTG was still finding its audience. In short: be visible, be helpful, play fair, and onboard humans you would actually want in the community. If the team selects you, your Invite panel switches to Elite tiers active automatically - no extra steps.
Elite tiers active means your wallet was upgraded by the team - every qualifying fee from your referral tree now pays at the higher percentages above. If you still see Standard rates, keep building in public: we notice consistent, positive community work and early loyalty.
